Info & delivery terms

Please read below for more information about our brownies, plus details of our payment and delivery terms.

Ingredients

Our brownies are delivered with a full ingredients list including allergen information. Please contact us if you have queries regarding ingredients or allergens. Allergens including nuts, sesame, eggs, dairy, gluten and soya are all ingredients used in our catering kitchen premises. We therefore can never guarantee that traces of these allergens will not be found in other foods.

Storage

The brownies will be at their eating best if you store them in a cool place in an airtight container (best in the fridge) and consume them within the best before date (usually 14 days from the day of dispatch). We think they taste their best straight out of the fridge.

Message card

You have an option of sending a short personal message with your brownies. Please note that we will reject any messages that we feel are defamatory, racist, offensive, abusive, indecent and obscene or in breach of confidence, copyright or other legal rights.

Payment

All online payments are taken by PayPal or SagePay for secure credit/debit card transactions. In the event that you wish to pay by cheque, you must contact us directly - telephone 01608 64 57 87. We cannot dispatch packages until payment has been received and funds cleared.

Delivery

Delivery charge is £2.25 per order. We are currently only offering delivery to Mainland UK, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Isle of Skye, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands. We are not delivering to Eire at this time. Delivery to postcodes in England and Wales and some lowland areas of Scotland will be sent by our courier service. This service takes 1 working day from the date of despatch and does not deliver on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays. For delivery to some areas of Scotland (check postcode below), Isle of Man, Isle of Skye, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland your order will be sent by Royal Mail recorded, first class post. We do require a full postcode for courier deliveries, and if a full postcode is not given your parcel may be sent by Royal Mail instead. Please note that Royal Mail can take 1-3 days to deliver after the date of dispatch. If it is important for your order to arrive on a specific date, we recommend opting for delivery a few days earlier than your desired delivery date. We cannot be held responsible for slow or late delivery by Royal Mail.

Delivery times and days (courier) If we receive your order by 10am (Monday - Thursday) your order will be dispatched the same business day and delivered the following day. If we receive your order after 10am your order will be dispatched the following day and delivered the next working day after that. If we receive your order between 10am and 5pm on a Thursday, the first available delivery day will be Monday (unless a Bank Holiday Monday). If we receive your order any time Friday, Saturday, Sunday or a Bank Holiday, the first available delivery day will be Tuesday (or Wednesday in the case of a Bank Holiday Monday). Delivery via courier takes 1 working day from dispatch. You may choose your own delivery date from available options on the shopping basket. In the unlikely event that we cannot send your order on the next working day, we will contact you to arrange an alternative delivery day. No orders will be posted or delivered on public holidays. We cannot offer a time slot for your delivery. Deliveries could occur any time between 8am and 6pm.

Courier deliveries We currently use APC - Swift as our courier company. A signature is required for delivery (with our courier or Royal Mail). If nobody is available to sign for the parcel, a calling card will be left with details for the recipient to contact the courier company and re-arrange a suitable delivery day or collect the parcel from the courier depot. You may leave instructions for the courier (but NOT Royal Mail) to leave the parcel in a 'safe' place. Please note that Bluebasil will not be responsible for missing parcels if the parcel has been left in a 'safe' place. Only one delivery attempt is made by the courier company until the recipient arranges a suitable second delivery day. It is the responsibility of the recipient to contact the courier company within 3 days of receiving their calling card to make arrangements; otherwise the courier company will return the parcel to Bluebasil. Bluebasil will not be responsible for the non-delivery of a parcel after the first delivery attempt and calling card is left. Bluebasil will not be responsible if the courier cannot gain access to the property grounds to deliver the parcel or to leave a calling card. It will be the recipient's responsibility to pick up the parcel from the courier's depot after this time.

Royal Mail deliveries If the delivery is a Royal Mail delivery, these parcels will be sent 1st class signed for. A signature is required. A calling card will be left if the recipient is unavailable to sign for the parcel. It is the recipient's responsibility to collect the parcel within 5 working days from Royal Mail. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that Royal Mail will deliver within 1 working day of dispatch. Occasionally parcels may take 1 - 3 days to be delivered. We will not be responsible for the non-delivery of a package if the postal address given to us is incorrect. We regret that we are unable to post orders to an address containing a PO Box number or from persons placing an order whose own address contains a PO Box number.

All deliveries Please note that in times of adverse weather conditions, parcels with our courier or Royal Mail may be delayed and we cannot guarantee that they will be delivered in the above time frames.

Cancellations

You may cancel your order at any time up until 11am on the day of dispatch. We can only accept cancellations by written medium (post or email). We regret that we cannot accept cancellations after the order has been dispatched as the brownies are classed as fresh food and are perishable items.

Returns

If in the unlikely event that you have a complaint or problem with the ordered items, we must receive your complaint in writing and all packages must be returned to us by post within the best-before date of the brownies. Please send the package back by recorded delivery and keep your proof of postage. Return items to: Bluebasil, Chivel Farm Cottages, Heythrop, Oxfordshire OX7 5TR.
