"I really love Bluebasil brownies – they source a lot of ingredients locally here in Oxfordshire and they are as low impact as I think they can possibly be... All of this would be pointless if their brownies weren't also awesome. For the holiday season... Tiramisu – I loved this lovely brownie. It is dense – just the way I like it... Rudolph Rumnut – Before I bit into the delicious dark chocolate dense brownie goodness, I could absolutely smell the booze... Dark Chocolate and Orange – This deeply delicious chocolate has a seemingly sweeter ginger or something as I got a piece... Coffee & Irish Cream – I saved the best for last. Gently boozy but mainly coffee, this delicious dark chocolate brownie is a dense square of deliciousness."

"Now I don't want to over sell bluebasil gourmet brownies, so I'm going to be conservative and simply say, these are... the best chocolate brownies I've ever tasted. The first brownie was chocolate week special Coffee & Irish cream. This gorgeous brownie uses Divine 70% dark chocolate and Divine chocolate chunks, and was absolutely delicious decorated with a cute coffee bean. The next was Classic chunky chocolate, the classic chocolate brownie made with dark chocolate and milk chocolate chunks, so rich melts in your mouth decorated with chocolate swirls. The last one I tried was the Chunky white chocolate brownie, made with dark chocolate and big white chocolate chunks, mouth watering."

"I love my local brownie maker – BlueBasil brownies. Not only do they use local ingredients from local farms, they use Divine chocolate. I have bought them for myself and I have shared with others. I think most of my gifts this holiday season will be BlueBasil brownies. I highly recommend them not just for their ethical standpoint and commitment to using local ingredients – and letting you know what local ingredients they have used – but also because they are genuinely lovely local people who make genuinely lovely brownies... they are damn yummy and worthy of royalty! They were so yummy I scoffed the lot!"

"Opening the package is as much fun as being a kid at Christmas: ribbon, box, straw, tissue paper - and the excitement rising as you peel away each layer! Until at last the bounty within is revealed: heavy, ridiculously dense squares of chocolate, redolent with the scent of the spices and goodies baked into them... And the verdict? Overall I would have to say a thundering thumbs up! The Classic Chunky Chocolate is a square of pure decadence... My colleague who helped me test these was actually moaning with pleasure at his desk, and he is a man that knows his cake!"

"I had initially thought their prices were a bit steep... but these are no ordinary brownies. Dense, rich and intensely flavoured, they should almost be served as desserts in their own right, or perhaps cut into small pieces and offered with coffee. The Classic Chunky Chocolate had the texture of an exotic truffle and tasted absolutely exquisite. I shared the box with my husband and my mother in law and all agreed they were delicious... definitely a luxury item and I can think of a number of people who would be happy to receive them under the tree this Christmas."
