Panibois brownie delivery - the eco-friendly gift

There’s no doubt 2020 was a year full of changes and challenges, but in amongst the bad, there were lots of little glimmers of hope and happiness. Here at Bluebasil, we were thrilled to be part of keeping people connected and helping our customers show friends and family they care with our chocolate brownies gift box delivery service.

Increased demand during this time bought its own challenge, our industrial-sized mixers were working overtime and so were we! As artisan bakers, we pride ourselves on our traditional skills and techniques. Measuring and baking by hand, and then cutting and sorting our chocolate brownies into gift boxes. With so many of you wanting to send out brownies to spread the love, we needed to refine our process, but we had to do it in a way that maintained that all-important quality and flavour.

Thankfully a little research turned up the perfect solution. Not only would we be able to keep bringing you our delicious hand-crafted chocolate brownies, but we could do it using an environmentally friendly and 100% biodegradable product, the Panibois tray.

Panibois is a French company, producing gorgeous wooden baking trays which we can bake into directly. Meaning we can deliver brownie trays whole, simplifying our system and giving you a rich chocolate brownie ready to slice and enjoy. Perfect for a picnic, they can be cut to size and shared out as a special treat for all to enjoy. Just make sure you get the biggest piece (We won’t tell if you don’t!)

Being able to provide our products in environmentally friendly packaging is a priority here at Bluebasil, but we want it to look good too. So the Panibois trays fit in perfectly with our beautiful boxes, tied up with string and adorned with a cute vintage style greetings tag to create an almost completely recyclable, biodegradable and compostable package.

With a choice of trays, we can create a variety of flavours in different shapes and sizes, each one as delicious as the next. We pair the eco-friendly Panibois trays with a compostable heat-sealed cover, to lock in that flavour and keep the brownies fresh. All this means they stay mouthwateringly moist and fudgy till the very last bite.

Don’t panic, we still offer our traditional hand-cut range of brownies, but now you have the option of a brownie tray that is a great choice for a delicious and environmentally friendly gift, or for sharing with family and friends. Our chocolate brownie trays are flying off the shelves and becoming a firm favourite amongst our customers, and we can see why.

Our brownie trays are like a hug in a box, certain to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Treat yourself, your friends and family, or send one as a gift. And if you do manage to not devour it all in one go, our brownie trays keep like a dream in the fridge and don’t mind being frozen either. Bon Appétit!

Stevie Wonder once said, “if love is as sweet as a flower, then my mother is that sweet flower of love.” Though he might have substituted the flower with a brownie, had he tasted a Bluebasil Bakery brownie, and – we can assure you - his mum certainly would have thanked him.

Why sending Valentines brownies is the ultimate gift of love

January 20, 2022

Much of how the annual day of love came to be remains a mystery, veiled by the passage of time. The earliest possible origin tale of Valentines Day is the pagan fertility festival of Lupercalia observed each year in Ancient Rome on February 15th. There was little romance to be seen on this day when the feasting was accompanied by sacrificial rituals followed by spontaneous acts of matchmaking...
